Electrostatic Precipitators GPT electrostatic precipitators are used for separation of dust in an electrostatic field and are widely used for the collection of dust particles & mist of any size. Here the dust laden gas is passed through a high voltage electric field which causes the gas to ionize. The ions obtained, settle on dust particles and charge them. As they pass through an electric field, the charged particles are attracted to the electrodes, which form the electric field. It is provided with superior filter for dust laden flue gases and operates with a minimum pressure drop along the equipment. Cleaned gas then passes out of the precipitator and through a stack to the atmosphere. Precipitators typically collect 99.9% or more of the dust from the gas stream.
